Find files by name

This page explains how to define file names for the search. This option always works in conjunction with the other settings. This means if a certain folder is excluded then it will not find files in this folder even 'All' is selected.

All
Finds all files with no limitations.

Exclude
Excluded files matched by the pattern will not searched.

Include
Includes all files matching the defined pattern.

File name
Search for a file name. Depending on the state of the RegEx checkbox it will find files containing the string in the name but not the extension. This is set in the extension section.

The simple search and regular expressions are explained on separate pages. It allows a fine tuned search for file names.
